What does 15W-40 mean?
15W-40 is a multigrade viscosity. The 15W rating keeps the oil flowing on cold starts, while the 40 rating holds a protective film at high operating temperature - well suited to the hot, dusty conditions of the UAE, GCC and Africa.
What is API CI-4?
API CI-4 is a heavy-duty diesel engine oil service category. It provides soot control, wear and deposit protection and acid neutralisation for diesel engines, including Caterpillar and other makes specifying API CI-4 PLUS, CI-4 and prior.
Can I use Autoverse TDEO instead of genuine Cat DEO?
Yes. Autoverse TDEO is the same API CI-4, SAE 15W-40 specification as Cat DEO - an aftermarket alternative that is warranty-backed and 20-40% less. Both suit Tier 3 and earlier diesel engines without aftertreatment systems.
Which pack size should I buy?
Choose 5 L for top-ups, 20 L for a single service, 208 L drums for workshops and fleets, or 1000 L for large operations. Genuine Cat DEO is available in all four; Autoverse TDEO in 5 L, 20 L and 208 L.
Is it suitable for engines with DPF or aftertreatment?
API CI-4 oils are formulated for Tier 3 and earlier engines without aftertreatment. For newer Tier 4 / DPF-equipped engines, message us on WhatsApp and we will match the correct low-SAPS oil.
